The premise
Gaia pairs the wonder of exploration with the pressure of a world already in motion. Nations, institutions, faiths, martial lineages, criminal networks, and frontier communities all interpret ancient discoveries differently.
The result is a setting designed for character stories at every scale - from four lives converging at a forbidden threshold to governments deciding who controls the next discovery.
The central ensemble
Four mentors recognized their unusual potential, guided them toward Authority licensing, and deliberately placed them in one another's path.
Their mentors later stepped away, leaving rare messages, unanswered questions, and an enduring sense that their meeting was no accident. What begins as friendship becomes the lens through which Gaia's buried histories collide with the present.
The Explorer

Aaron reads pressure, motion, and environmental change with near-instinctive precision. His atmospheric Authority and self-sustaining life-energy wings make him equally suited to flight, rescue, swordplay, and frontier discovery. Calm and observant, he embodies ancient knowledge preserved through living movement rather than written record.
The Historian

Romeo turns structured language and gesture into energetic effects, approaching lost history as both scholar and participant. Fluent across Gaia's major modern languages, he follows contradictions hidden in ancient records while rebuilding the forgotten craft of energy branding. His curiosity, warmth, and sharp humor keep the group's mysteries human.
The Champion

Paris is one of Gaia's most visible athletes, celebrated for impossible changes in size, mass, and density. Beneath the celebrity, he carries unusually complete martial traditions that let him receive, redirect, and return force with terrifying precision. He turns ancient bodily knowledge into modern athletic spectacle.
The Plasma Mercenary
Mercenary · Engineer · Elite underground fighter
Samson channels plasma-like life energy and engineers transformable alloy constructs into shields, propulsion systems, armor, and weapons. His rugged demeanor masks an adaptable tactician who can move comfortably between frontier contracts, underground fights, and elite rooms. He carries ancient power through engineering, restraint, and survival.

Each path begins with a deliberately small proof of concept, while the near-final World Book provides a developed foundation for long-term expansion.

Production in progress
Records of Gaia: Roots of the Ancients provides the completed narrative proof. The World Book is nearly finalized, Book Two is underway under a pending title, and the visual library continues to expand.
